Most Popular Movie By State

The Huffington Post found a map from Reddit user Jakubisko that showed the highest rated IMDB movie by all 50 states.

For the movie to make the state list a large part of the film or main plot had to take place in that state.

Also only films that were clear about their location were chosen for the list.

Here are some of the top films by state:

  • California – ‘Pulp Fiction’
  • Washington State – ’50/50′
  • Minnesota and North Dakota – ‘Fargo’
  • Florida – ‘Scarface’
  • New York – ‘The Godfather’
  • Colorado – ‘The Shining’
  • Oklahoma – ‘True Grit’
  • Arizona -‘Psycho’
  • Louisiana – ‘The Green Mile’
  • Texas – ‘For A Few Dollars More’

You can see the map and get all the movies for each state HERE.

I do not agree with the movie they chose for Texas. Do you? As a matter of fact, I’m not even sure I know that movie.
