Like it or not, Elf On The Shelf is one of the most talked about phenomenons this holiday season. Santa’s little spy that moves about our houses at night and sneaks off to report activities on who has been naughty or nice has become a source of humor for parents and wonder for the kids the Elf is meant to report on.
Sometimes, things don’t work how they seem. The Elf forgets to move or gets touched and loses his magic. This can’t bring the operation to a grinding halt and a meltdown for kids in the house.
Julie’s daughter Emma bore witness to a friend’s mistreatment of his family’s Elf on the Shelf. The cardinal rule is to never touch the Elf as touching removes his magic. Emma saw that her friend was actually playing with his Elf, and she went so far as to write a letter to Santa asking that he take the Elf back.
Tony’s nieces are all in a tizzy after Ava, the youngest, touched Jake the Elf. Addie is livid that Ava broke the rule, and Ava is upset that Jake had to go away. Luckily, Jake zip-lined back into the house last night.
