When Trey Bounds lost power at his home in Dallas last Friday during the ice storm, he stepped outside to see if any power lines were down and spotted instead a neighbor’s overturned plant. He left his door cracked ever so slightly to go upright the plant, and that is when his two beautiful little white dogs made a break for it.
Raleigh and Pearl are male and female white poodle, Maltese, Bichon mix dogs that weigh about 20 lbs each. They are bosom buddies that have never separated. They are microchipped, but not wearing their collars.
The dogs were famously spotted dashing up the shoulder of the tollway by a Good Samaritan who stopped hoping to rescue the pair. Since Friday, Pearl has been rescued and brought home, but Raleigh is still on the lam. There have been reports of sightings along the Katy Trail and near the Katy Trail Ice House.
Trey asks that you call him if you have any information on Raleigh’s whereabouts. Trey’s number is 214-883-4600 or reach him by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
