Massages are meant to be relaxing experiences. A new trend coming out of Indonesia could put the fear factor in your zen state.
According to Yahoo!, the Bali Heritage Reflexology and Spa in Jakarta, Indonesia is employing pythons as their new masseuses. Several snakes are placed on the back of the client during the massage. The movement of the snakes combined with the adrenaline of fear are thought to boost metabolism and possibly trigger weight loss.
One has to wonder if the fear wouldn’t cause the client to tense up their back and negate the relaxation of the muscles. At least you’d know beforehand that your masseuse’s touch will be cold and clammy.
