Amanda Bynes will finally get her first look at the outside world since being admitted to a psychiatric hospital two weeks ago. The troubled former-child star has been receiving treatment as a part of a 5150 hold; it was believed she was possibly a danger to herself and others after setting a fire in a neighbor’s driveway.
TMZ reports that Bynes will be transported to her court appearance in transportation provided by the hospital, and she’ll be accompanied by her lawyer. She’ll meet with the judge privately so he can determine her mental competency.
Her parents are hoping that this court appearance will result in a temporary conservatorship. If granted, the temporary conservatorship will be good until September 30th when a court will decide to grant a permanent conservatorship.
