With the popularity of food trucks blowing up around the country it is not really a surprise that Doggie Food trucks are not becoming the trend.
With things like puppy friendly ice cream, dog treats and something called ‘pupsicles’ ranging from $2-$7 on most trucks people seem to be willing to shell out a few bucks for their four legged friends.
In Austin, Bow-Wow Chow has been so successful in the year it has been selling ice cream and handmade dog treats at $1 to $5 that she has had requests to franchise to other parts of Texas and the country.
Founder and CEO lara Enzor told Martha C. White, “I’ve been surprised at how quickly we’ve actually been able to start making money… We’re doing really well. We’re selling so much ice cream now it’s crazy. We could easily sell 100 in a day.”
Will the puppy trucks get the boost food trucks have in the past year? We’ll have to wait and see.
