A 14-year-old burger, that was purchased by David Whipple in Logan, Utah on July 7th, 1999 is not only still around, but it’s in pretty good shape. At least according to a blog post written by Whippe himself.

According to the blog, World’s Oldest Hamburger, Whipple bought the burger to try and show how enzymes work. Originally he planned to only keep the burger for a month.

Whipple wrapped the burger up, put it in a coat pocket, and forgot about it.

He discovered it more than a year later and it looked identical to the day he bought it, so he figured he’d hang onto it.

The fast food burger is full of preservatives to help increase it’s shelf life.

Would you still eat the 14 year old burger? Let us know in the comments below.
