Gravity Defying Video Will Have You Puzzled All Day

If you don’t know what a Rube Goldberg machine is, think of the board game Mouse Trap. The domino-effect like device of levers, pulleys, ramps, strings, and sometimes actual dominos is a fun and mesmerizing example of physics in action.

2D House is a Toronto-based photography and film company. Lead artist David Dvir studied astrophysics at the University of Toronto, but his first love is photography. The combination of physics and photography has resulted in a number of shorts featuring the over-engineered Rube Goldberg machines.

This particular short film featuring a gravity-defying Rube Goldberg machine will have you scratching your head all day trying to figure out which way is up.
