The ladies have painted October pink with women’s health and breast cancer awareness, but guys are saying, “What about men’s health?” Now that the pink ribbons are being packed away, it’s time for men to grow a “hairy ribbon” to raise awareness for prostate and testicular cancers as well as other men’s health issues.

November has long been No Shave November to some men who grow bushy Grizzly Adams beards, but Movember requires a little more maintenance and care. The rules are to start November 1st clean shaven, and then grown and maintain a mustache over the course of the month of November.

Men participating are called Mo Bros, but there are Mo Sistas too. Mo Sistas are the supportive women planting the seeds of mustachery into men’s minds before Movember and help to keep the cause alive while the Mo Bros grow.

Movember is now a international movement with Big Ben in London sport his own mustache (Check out the picture below!). Get involved too! Start growing that handlebar or fu manchu today and check out us.movember.com for more information.
