Downloadable on both android and iPhone devices, SecuraFone, is a free app that has been released just in time for Halloween. The app which is being advertised as a good tool for parents to keep tabs on their kids when they are navigating the neighborhood alone.
The app will send a message to the parent when the kid travels too far from home and updates the parents phone every few minutes with a new location. There is also an emergency feature that allows the child to send an SOS message to multiple contacts at once.
Once Halloween is over the app is not without use. SecuraFone says the app can be used to monitor teen driving and make sure texts and e-mails cannot be sent while someone is driving a car. The app will also hold a history of the child’s locations to aid emergency dispatchers in the case of a child gone missing.
