The ‘Harry Potter’ star, Emma Watson, is being linked to the role of Anastasia, in the upcoming ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ film adaption. The saucy roll would be a step in a different direction for the girl who broke onto the scene as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series.
Watson, though, gives no weight to the rumors that put her in the roll. “I haven’t read the book, I haven’t a read a script, nothing,” the actress told Entertainment Weekly. “There are so many movies you become attached to when I’ve literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ – I never even saw a script!”
Emma’s next project to hit the big screen will be the teen-drama “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” That is set to come out September 20th. Watson told EW that friends and family have even started asking about her playing Anastasia.
“I told them just because there are 60 articles on the Internet doesn’t mean it’s any less true than if there are three or four,” she told the Weekly.
Adding, “The thing is I’m not going to go out there every time someone attaches me to a film to say no or release a statement.”
So who do you think would make the best Anastasia?
