Rangers To Face Detroit Tigers In ALCS – Starts Saturday In Arlington

The Texas Rangers found out who their opponent for the American League Championship Series will be.  The Detroit Tigers beat the New York Yankees in 5 games of their American League Divisional Series to advance to the ALCS.

With the win from the Tigers the Rangers get home field advantage in the ALCS, because they finished with a better regular season record than the Tigers.  The first game of the ALCS will be Saturday in Arlington.  A time for the game has not been set, as Major League Baseball is waiting for the conclusion of both NLDS series Friday.

No matter what time the game starts the Rangers will have to face off against one of the best pitchers in baseball in Justin Verlander of the Tigers in game 1.  CJ Wilson will ascend the hill for the Rangers.
