Chicago is so last year. The Sporting News has named the Dallas/Fort Worth area as the best city for sports. It’s not just our awesome pro teams that helped us beat out 271 US and Canadian cities, but it’s also our school programs and devoted fans that rocketed DFW to the top of the list.
We love our sports. From NBA Champion Mavericks, to World Series participant and ALCS-bound Rangers, BCS Bowl winners TCU, and America’s favorite football team, there’s no doubt that Dallas is sports-crazy. Don’t forget the fans. Dallas fans are some of the most passionate fans in the nation.
We’ve also got all bases covered for sports. FC Dallas was runner up for the MLS Cup, and our David Ferreira was MVP. Texas Motor Speedway brings the speed. We regularly host important college sporting events, such as this weekend’s Texas-OU game and post-season bowl games. It also doesn’t hurt that Jerry Jones’ ginormous Cowboys Stadium played host to the NBA All Star Game and this year’s Super Bowl.
