Bret Michaels Wants To Partner With Stevie Nicks

[pullquote quote=”We’re going to have a blast making this record” credit=”Bret Michaels”]On his upcoming album, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bret Michaels[/lastfm] has a dream team he would like to work with. Bret is hoping to team with Joe Elliott and Phil Collen of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Def Leopard[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Stevie Nicks[/lastfm].

He is also hoping to nab contributions from members of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lynyrd Skynyrd[/lastfm]. Bret told Billboard that “when you’re having other artists perform with you, it’s about working with their time schedule and a lot of taking care of some of the business before you can enjoy the pleasure of just jamming together. I try to keep it pretty organic. We have to make sure everyone’s good with the timing and can get into the studio to sing. But I think we’re going to have a blast making this record.

Also up for consideration on the new album is the live version of “Margaritaville” that Bret performed with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jimmy Buffett[/lastfm] at DTE Energy Music Theatre back in 2010.

No word on the official release date yet, but he hopes to have it out by the end of the year.
