I love to cook and I have been really focusing on eating healthier over the past year or so. One of my favorite treats that also can be a lot of fun if you have kiddos is Flat Out Pizza night. If you aren’t familiar with Flat Out bread you mush check it out at your local grocer next time you shop. It has so many uses, is whole-grain and has fewer carbs. Plus it tastes great for sandwich wraps and my favorite…Pizza!
Flat Out bread can be found in your bread section or deli section of most grocers. It is VERY flat so if you can’t find it ask and they can point you in the right direction. It now comes in different flavors too and they have fabulous recipes on their site. However, I discovered this one by trial and error and have perfected it now. This is a super easy and a lot of fun. Make it a family affair!
Flat Out Bread
Toppings of your liking, I like Turkey Pepperoni, fresh sliced jalapenos, fresh sliced mushrooms, sliced red onion, chopped bell pepper, fresh basil and fresh sliced tomatoes.
Place Flat Out Bread on a cookie sheet and heat in the oven plain for 7-8 minutes.
Take Flat Out Bread out of the oven.
Smear pizza sauce over the flat out bread
Top with some shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Add toppings of your choice
Top with a little more Mozzarella
Place in Over for 15-16 minutes, depending on your liking of the crispness of crust.
Let stand 1 minute and slice accordingly and enjoy!
