Flag etiquette from Kimberly Schlegel Whitman:

  • The U.S. flag always goes above all other flags on a flagpole
  • If you are going to use another country’s pole, it needs to be on another pole of the same height.
  • The U.S. flag should never touch the ground
  • If you ever have to put a flag at half-staff: it needs to be raised all the way to the top of the pole, then taken down to half-staff.
