With the current bad weather in North Texas, the sirens have been going off for more than just tornado warnings. Gene & Julie talk to Kenny Shaw, Director of Emergency Management for the City of Dallas about why the sirens have been going off so frequently lately.

Whenever you hear a siren go off, take cover! Kenny Shaw has the three reasons why they go off in North Texas:

  • Tornado warning
  • If winds exceeding 70mph
  • Hail gets to be over 1.25 inches
