Sarah is forty-five. When she was young her parents split up. Her mother met a new man and then forgot about her family. When the man died Sarah’s mom reconnected with the family. Now, Sarah’s mom has married a new guy and she has drifted away again. Sarah is not sure what to do.

    SARAH I TURN 45 ON AUGUST 23ND AND MY PARENTS DIVORCE, THE FINAL PAPERS WERE SIGNED APRIL 27 I THINK, 1975, THE B-DAY OF MY COUNSIN JP. MY MOM WAS THE BEST, SINGLE MOM, NEVER GOT RE-MARRIED, PUT HER BOYS FIRST, HER MOM, MY GRAMMIE PASSED AWAYED OF ALSIMORS IN 2/2007 AND MY MOM HAS A PRIM CARE-GIVER, SADLY JUST TWO YEARS LATER, APRIL 18TH, 2009 SHE PASSED AWAY ON 4/18/2009 FROM POST (LIVER) TRANSPLANT CANCER. HER B-DAY WAS 1/7/1939 AND WENT TO CCF FOR LUNCH AND ON ANOTHER DAY WE WENT TOGETHER WAS KUNG FU PANDA, OUR LAST TOGRTHER!!!!!! I QUIT MY ALBERTSONS AND TOOK HER TO BAYLOR-DALLAS, 3 TO 4 TIMES A WEEK. I HOPE MY WORDS HELP!!!!!!!!!🙂

      Honestly, it’s good you want to encourage this woman, but how does what you said, help? It only tells of how wonderful your mom was. It doesn’t fix her situation and only points out how bad she has it, that in spite of a divorce your mom chose you! But her mom hasn’t. I agree with Delilah, she needs to carefully select another woman who will mentor her and be there for her, instead. I also think this woman needs to see that what her mom is doing is not personal. That her mom is making bad choices and not thinking about who it affects, just that she’s only thinking of herself. I hope this woman can move past this hurt and in spite of the fact that it IS her mom, not take it personally and realize that she’s a wonderful woman with lots of gifts and that she is not trapped by her mother’s bad choices and instead be encouraged to continue to make good choices for herself and her family, as it seems she has!!
