Jacob, who is sixteen, wonders if he should take leave of absence from school, so that he can work in order to help his mom.

Jacob’s mom adopted him and his two sisters when all three children were young. Now times are tough financially. He wants to help his mom and family out. He has the option of leaving school for a few months to work. Should he do it?

    I commend Jacob for wanting to help his mom out in tough times, however, once you leave school it is hard to get back in the “saddle” to continue your schooling once you have left. I would suggest trying to get a part time job in the evenings, but stay in school. Show your mom you are commited to finish your schooling, that would be the best gift ever to her.
