I live for this time of year.
Actually the “between” seasons here in DFW are amazing.
We don’t get much of a Spring or Fall at times, but whether is 2 week or a month, when the weather is like this, it’s AMAZING!
One of my favorite past times is to get out and enjoy patio lunches and this is a perfect time to do so. The weather is absolutely gorgeous and looks like we will get at least a week of it for now.
I am a creature of habit though. I have my favorites and tend to stick with those, however I am always open to suggestions! Here are a few of my recommendations.
Sfuzzi (Dallas) – Sfuzzi has recently reopened in Dallas (on McKinney in Uptown) and if you are looking for the combo of great food, killer vibe, amazing atmosphere and the perfect patio, look no further. The patio is massive, the food is fabulous and not overpriced and the ambiance is unmatched. Not to mention it is a great place to people watch which is one of my requirements.

Joe T. Garcia’s (Ft. Worth) – I love Mexican food. Growing up in San Diego, CA I have searched for the best Mexican restaurant in DFW and when I was introduced to Joe T.’s I knew I had found it. Along with the great food, Joe T.’s has the most amazing patio and garden I have seen in DFW. I am a big plant guy and love gorgeous gardens and Joe T.’s delivers. It’s alsmost as if you should pay for you meal and admission to a botanical garden. Stunning setting and the food is a must! Treat yourself to a family/friends gathering before the cold of winter blows in!

Mi Cocina (Plano/Spring Creek) – As mentioned before I am a BIG fan of Mexian Food. Mi Cocina was one of the first I ever tried after moving to Dallas in 1998 and has since been a favorite of mine. There are a number of locations throughout the metroplex, but hands down my favorite is the Spring Creek and Preston location in Plano. The patio here is amazing and you sit above a gorgeous pond with ducks and water features. Great food and beverages and a view that will allow a much needed escape for lunch or dinner!

Get out and enjoy the weather and feel free to share some of your favorite patio hotspots! I am always up for new adventures.
